It is concluded that when the pull between two small magnets has been
proved so effective in curing migraine, chronic headache, joint pains,
high blood pressure and many chronic diseases, then what about the
permanent magnetic pull between North and South pole in which we are
constantly living, breathing, walking, sleeping, working right from
our birth?
If you take a magnet and suspend it freely with the support of a thread
in the air, you always find its two ends facing North and South. The
reason is simple. It is magnetic field is between two poles, which
is constantly pulling the two ends of the magnet towards North and
South. But we can not see this magnetic field. It exists in the atmosphere
the way that oxygen does. And this magnetic field is equally important
for our healthy survival, the way oxygen or the "The Prana Vayu" is.
Invisible magnetic waves are constantly flowing from North to South
and maintain a positive field of energy around us in the environment.
Vedic sages tell us that North is the abode of Soma Devata. One of
the important meaning of Soma is also Amrita, which sustains and gives
life.
For millions of years the genetic structure or the basic cell structure
of the living being on this planet has been programmed with the cosmic
movement. This results from the rotation of Earth on its axis and
around the Sun, which makes the whole zodiac appear rising from the
East. Therefore we have an in built anticipation which expects the
Sun, Moon and stars to rise from the east. Every day Sun rises from
East and every year passes through twelve signs oscillating between
tropics of Cancer and Capricorn. Different seasons are created in
this way. The energy of the Sun like the path of the Sun, flows from
East to West.
Vedic sages told us that the direction where East meets the North
is Ishana. Exact verbal translation of Ishana is not possible but
closest it means Divine. And how true. This is the direction from
where the divine energy flows and flows. Other meeting points of the
directions are:
Agneya or the corner of Fire which is South East
Nairitya or the corner of death and demons which is South West
Vayavya or the corner of the Winds which is North West
A property is not a meager structure of cement, steel and woods .The
Vedic idea is that the whole universe has been created from five basic
elements, which are known as 'Panch Mahabhutas’ of Earth, Water, Fire,
Air and Space. In the human body, the proportionate balance of these
five elements (dynamically related to three Doshas Vata, Pitta and
Kapha) assures good health, in the same way harmonious balance of
these five elements in a property assures good health of the property
and people who are living or working there.
The land is the most important factor before starting a new construction
project. Today with all the modern gadgets for soil testing available,
it has become very easy to ascertain the grip and binding quality
of the soil. Vedic Sages told a few simple procedures to test the
soil. They said that before procuring a piece of land for construction
some tests should be performed;
1. Dig a pit of approximately 50 cms X 50 cms X 50 cms. Refill it
with the removed soil. If the soil still remains after leveling the
pit, the land should be considered very good for prosperity and happiness,
if the soil is just enough to fill and level the pit, the land should
still be considered good but not very good for prosperity, and in
case the soil fall short of filling and levelling the pit, the land
should not be purchased or acquired as it would bring losses to the
owner.
2. Dig another pit of the same dimensions and fill it with water.
Walk 100 steps away from it taking normal steps and come back. If
the level of the water is the same or has receded very marginally,
land should be considered excellent for prosperity and growth, if
the level of the water is still about three fourth, the land should
be considered normally good but not very good and can still be procured,
but in case the water level has receded around half, the land should
never be procured for any purpose as it would bring losses and mental
agony to the buyer.
NOTE:The objects and things, recovered during these diggings
should be carefully examined. Stone pebble, shining stones, piece
of a metal, snake skin or a live snake are very auspicious indications,
where as pieces of bones, termites, pieces of torn cloth are bad omens.
a) Size and shape of the land: A perfectly square plot with all the
four corners at 90° is considered very good. Rectangular shaped land
with more depth is also good. Plots with more width than depth should
at best be avoided. Round shape or odd shape plots should be purchased
with caution.
b) Corners of the Land: Plots with more than four corners should only
be purchased after corrections. As stated earlier, all the four corners
of the land at 90° are appreciated. The angle of North East and South
West corners should not be more than South East and North West angles..
c) Orientation of the Land: Floor level of the land should be properly
balanced and corrected before constructing a property on it. The properties
which are lower in the South can cause difficulties for the owner.
The Vaastu Shastra principal is that the level of the land should
be lower in North or North East and higher in South or South West.
There should be no projection or tall buildings or elevation of ground
in North or North East. Open area and low level of ground is more
suitable in this direction.
Directions - Low level - High level
East - good - bad
South - restricted growth - good for prosperity
South West - ill health - fame and prosperity
West - ill health & losses prosperity
North West -bad if lower than N.E., good if higher than NE, good if
lower to SW/SE, bad if higher than SW
North - good - bad effects
North East - good - many problems
a) Vidhi Shoola : When a plot or lot is just opposite a T junction
and a approaching road is meeting it at the center, it is known as
Vidhi Shoola. Property with such a flaw should best be avoided.
b) Sherdah land: Property which is wide at the front and narrow
at the back may bring losses, mental agonies to the buyer.
c) Entrance : Vaastu principles are specific to each individual
based upon the astrological chart and not general as many people believe
and propagate but land with main entry point facing exactly South
West (Nairutya) should at best be avoided.
d) Brahma Sthana: The center point of a plot or lot is known
as the Brahma Sthana. This is the heart of the property. It should
be open and evenly leveled.
2. Water: The source of water, sewage system and water disposal
management should be examined according to Vaastu Shastra principles
before moving into a property. Wrong position of underground or overhead
water tanks, toilets, swimming pools may sometime be very bad for
health and prosperity. In a north facing house, a low level swimming
pool in the south may not be good for the health.
3. Fire: Fire element represents energy in a property. The
energy which is required for cooking, heating, lighting etc. In an
industrial property, the furnace or the area where maximum energy
is consumed for production such as electric room, power generating
room is the fire point. A pantry in a hotel is the fire point. The
fire point should be in fiery corner, which is the south eastern part
of the property. In a house kitchen is the vital energy point. Kitchen
in the south west part does not convert food into energy and it may
reflect on the health of family members.
Furnace: Any type of furnace should be planned either in the
South Eastern or North Western part of the production unit. Furnace
in North or North East part may cause losses, breakdowns and other
similar problems. Boilers, Geysers, Owens, Power Generating or Electric
rooms, Transformers should also be planned in either South Eastern
or North Western part.
Kitchen: The kitchen in the house is an very important area,
where the lady of the house has to spend substantial time of her life.
In India, it is very normal for a lady to spent somewhere between
4-6 hours every day in the kitchen. So the planning of the kitchen
should be done as per the Vaastu Shastra principles. The kitchen should
be in the Agneya Kona or the corner of fire (South East) and at the
time of cooking the lady of the house should face North or North East.
Other option is North West part.
4. Air: Free flow of air or proper ventilation is very important
for any property. Air flows through doors, ventilators and windows.
More windows should be open in the corner of winds, which is the North
West. Doors should swing open inside the house or rooms and not the
other way.
5. Space: The open area is significant for energizing effects
of subtle celestial vibrations which should flow freely and reach
us in an uninterrupted way. In all the traditional houses in India,
always a big space known as chowk (central courtyard) was left in
the center of the house, where all the family members can walk in
freely. Today it is not possible as the place available per person
is shrinking every day. North and north east part of a property should
have more space .
a. More space should be left open on North, East or North Eastern
part.
b. North Eastern part of the residential unit should always be free
of any heavy storages, high projections and tall trees, which may
obstruct flow of positive energies from this direction.
c. South Western part of a residential unit should be elevated and
open space in this direction should always be less than the space
in the North Eastern direction.
d. If there is more space in the S.W. direction and little space in
N.E. , than it should be balanced, otherwise it may cause health problems
and frustrations to the residents, living in there.
e. If Northern or Eastern or North Eastern part is blocked or obstructed,
it should be opened up and given more space and extension.
